You are cordially invited to the Swiss Golf Croquet Open to be held at CERN Croquet Club, near Geneva, Switzerland, on 10th through 12th July 2026. Inscriptions will be taken on a first come, first served basis, with ten places being reserved for Swiss participants and ten for visitors, the field being limited to 20 participants. Inscriptions should be sent to the tournament secretary, Peter Payne ([email protected]) as soon as possible. Please provide your name as it is found in the WCF GC ranking list. The initial deadline for entries is Sunday, 15th March. Any places still available after that date will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, as will any places that become available later due to withdrawals. A reserve list will be maintained.
Play will start at 9am on Friday 10th July. For those who are already available on the Thursday afternoon, 9th July, it may be possible to play a few block matches in advance, taking pressure off the following days.

- Optional plate event for those not qualified for the knock-out
- Optional shield for losing quarterfinalists
- Double banking throughout (except finals)
- Time limits may be imposed at the discretion of the Manager.
- Entry fee: CHF 60 (to include lunches as well as water, coffee and tea), payable on arrival
- Suitable entertainment will be organised on an optional basis on the Friday evening
- Optional tournament dinner: Saturday, 11th July (not included in the entry fee)
- Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar throughout the event
In order to access CERN, you will need a visitor’s pass for you and for anyone accompanying you. More details will be provided once your inscription has been accepted. If necessary, we can also help you with local travel and accommodation.
Note that the club is found on the French side of the border. Both Switzerland and France are part of the Schengen area and so if you have the necessary paperwork to enter one, you should be able to enter the other!
